Shooting Star Astrology Service

is the inspiration of Astrologer, Ann LaPan, (left) Research Member of the American Federation of Astrologers; member Organization of Professional Astrologers; B.A. Hofstra University, who writes:

"My life has been enriched by my study of astrology and through the support of my family and friends (especially my husband Rick, and friend Barbara Boelsen.).
My introduction to astrology came in 1979 when I met Clara Sullivan, who was a writer (graduate of Tufts University), a mother of 5 boys, and former wife of a prominent lawyer. She barely knew me (at the time, but we became great friends later), but she took my birth information and wrote up characteristics of my personality based on her astrological chart findings. She wrote things that even my friends might not know about me. I was astounded! Even then, I still needed further proof of its validity. It was very difficult for me to accept this very unconventional way of thinking. But Clara taught me that it is much more fun and interesting to expand your awareness. She once wrote, "My mind is never neat as a pin. I open it up and throw everything in". She lent me 4 or 5 astrology books and I found out the times of birth of my husband, my sister, and my brother, all very different people. From the chart analysis I was able to list distinctly different characteristics of each of them, many of which could not possibly apply to the others. I began to study astrology. I bought books and read as much as I could. I took classes. I conferred with top astrologers, but mostly I continually did research on my own. On many occasions I've felt my hair standing on end, because I've discovered something through astrology that is amazing to me."
Ann LaPan has Sun in Cancer, Moon in Scorpio, and Libra Rising.

What exactly is Astrology?

"My opinion is that Astrology is a science that combines two other sciences - astronomy and psychology. Astrology watches how the movements of the planets affect life trends. At birth, a person is the only one born at this particular place at this particular time. When a baby is born the planets are in a certain position in the sky that they will never be in again in this person's lifetime. At that instant of birth, the distinct and unique planetary positions become that baby's own personal perspective on life. This is what makes everyone an individual. Everyone has his or her own unique perspective. That is why we are all different. As we progress through life the moving planets in the sky make angular patterns to our birth planets, which cause changes in our lives. We can make predictions, based upon the mathematical consistency of each planet's orbit."
