Nathan Walczak

Born on the day of a New Moon, November 15, 1982, Nathan Walczak has a stellium of Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in the sign Scorpio. People who have this much Scorpio look at things from every possible angle, discovering hidden nuances and agendas. They are deep, obsessive, intense, and passionate. Once they decide they want something (or someone), they will do whatever it takes to obtain it. The Sun/Moon combination gives Nathan focus and the ability to fixate on a topic and to create strategies. He needs continuous emotional gratification to feel fulfilled. Mercury in Scorpio is intolerant of superficiality and delves into the dark side of life. He is intelligent, shrewd, and driven.

With Venus in Scorpio he enjoys probing into his curiosities. He is attracted to obscurities and the visceral underpinnings of life. Since the Scorpio influence is so intense, it is difficult for Nathan to be spontaneous or to move away from a project. It is suspected by Shooting Star Astrology that he has Virgo Rising, and thus would have Gemini on the Midheaven of his chart and the Scorpio stellium in the third house. (To verify this we would need his exact time of birth.) These placements would make him even more drawn to the art of investigation and would guide him toward a career in communication. Scorpios are not chatty by nature, so self expression through music is an appropriate channel for him. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, and Nathan’s Pluto is conjunct Saturn in Libra, giving even more strength to the Scorpio influence.

Nick Bentley

Nick Bentley was born on July 26, 1983. He has Sun in Leo, the sign of the showman. His Mercury is also in Leo. Nick very much resembles Leo’s symbol, the lion. He is physically strong and radiant. His personality is dynamic, charismatic, and generous. He is a natural attention getter. With his Moon in Aquarius, Nick’s huge heart operates uniquely. It is best satisfied by doing things that are a bit different than the norm. In stressful situations he can set aside emotion and react thoughtfully. People who have strong Aquarius in their charts are usually technologically advanced, as is evident by his brilliant ability to create synthetic music. His Sun is trine his Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Sagittarius which makes him extraordinarily optimistic in knowing that things will always work out for him (and they do) even if the way that they work out has a snag or an unusual twist. Occasionally he has to restrain the exuberance of his Uranus/Jupiter conjunction to ensure his safety.

The only real conflict in Nick’s chart is that his Moon is opposed to his Mercury. The Aquarius Moon likes to be independent, while Leo Mercury wants to be admired. So, he would have to find a way to make his craving for uniqueness acceptable to his audience. Nick’s Venus is in Virgo. He is most comfortable when his surroundings are perfect. He is practical and discreet. As a musician, he enjoys precision and attention to detail.

Simon Hilton

Simon Hilton, the drummer of The Delta Fiasco has the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Gemini, the sign of the communicator. This makes him versatile, clever, and talkative. He is a curious and interesting conversationalist. His Moon is in Libra, so he would be someone who would be highly diplomatic, quelling controversy and relating in a harmonious way.


The Gemini planets are in opposition to his Moon and all of his other planets (which are all retrograde in the chart). This gives him a character that vacillates between intellectual confidence and having to take the time to assimilate knowledge. So, occasionally he is outgoing, at other times introspective. Simon’s Venus conjunct his Sun assure him that the things he wants fulfill his character development. He has Mars and Saturn conjunct, which gives him not only physical stamina, but powerful control. This aspect certainly could aid in his skill as a drummer.

Nathan’s planets are bundled within four successive signs, a planetary arrangement that gives his life sharp focus in one area. Most people who have this configuration seek to develop a more rounded personality. One way to do this is to take on partners who have what is lacking. Nick’s planets occupy half of Nathans empty chart houses.


Nathan is reserved and mysterious, but Nick is open and outgoing. So, Nick has the ability to nudge Nathan onto the stage to show off his work, which also works well for Nick, because Nathan’s ability to perfect gives Nick the confidence and assurance that the band will receive worthy attention. Another extraordinary aspect of Nick and Nathan’s charts is that they each have a Saturn/Pluto conjunction (a rare planetary occurrence in itself) within one degree of each other! (What happened was that Saturn and Pluto both went retrograde at the beginning of 1983, then started moving forward again, returning when Nick was born to the degrees that they were at the prior November when Nathan was born.) The ability to transform when needed without damaging the laid foundation is a perfect, yet challenging, conjunction for each of them to have in order to create solid footing for their career endeavors.

NEPTUNE’S INFLUENCE

Nick and Nathan have the planet Neptune at the exact same degree of Sagittarius, meaning that they appreciate similar music. They know each other’s tastes. Their musical interest and interpretation progresses together. (Simon hears things a bit differently, with his Neptune in Capricorn).

ON MERCURY

If Nathan has Virgo Rising, as is suspected, Simon’s Gemini planets can relate to Nathan's quest for basic knowledge and gratification of interests. Conversation doesn’t come easily to Nathan, but it does to Simon. It would make Nathan comfortable to have someone else do the talking in casual situations. As for Nick and Simon – Simon’s Sun is sextile Nick’s Mercury, and, oddly, Nick’s Sun is sextile Simon’s Mercury, so the things that they communicate to each other strengthen and satisfy each others’ core needs. But Simon’s Mercury is also square Nick’s Venus, conjunct his Chiron and opposed to his Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. Simon may have difficulty understanding the complexity of Nick’s nature – what he wants, what bothers him, and what he needs to grow.

As a band, each member plays a significant role. It is obvious from the determination and need for self-expression that The Delta Fiasco has the potential to become masters of the field.
